What Is a Luxury Flower Arrangement? How to Choose the Right Premium Arrangement?
Things to consider when choosing a premium arrangement — a holistic guide on flower quality, quality vases, craftsmanship, and design harmony.
The term "luxury flower arrangement" has become widely used in recent years — but what does it really mean? At Last Summer Florist, for an arrangement to be considered "luxury," the following criteria must be met:
1. Flower Quality
Flowers used in luxury arrangements are typically premium varieties such as Anastasia roses, Garden Roses, Hydrangeas, Lisianthus, and Phalaenopsis orchids. Stem length, bloom size, and freshness are paramount. Flowers sourced from the Netherlands, Ecuador, and Kenya are preferred.
2. Design Aesthetics
A luxury arrangement must be balanced: the color palette harmonious, the form architectural, the volume neither excessive nor lacking. According to the European floral design school, "asymmetric balance" is sought.
3. Vase and Packaging
A standard vase diminishes a luxury arrangement. Hand-blown glass, matte ceramic, marble, or bronze vases are preferred. If packaging is used, kraft paper + silk ribbon is essential.
4. Craftsmanship
Stems are hand-balanced, air pockets are preserved, and waterproof tape is used. This is the biggest difference between professional atelier work and supermarket flowers.
5. Gift Accessories
A luxury arrangement is presented with a handmade card, premium chocolate, and if applicable, a personalized message or QR code.
